Job description
About the company
VEED is a generative AI company developing a social-first video creation platform used by millions of marketers to create branded videos quickly. The company is powered by frontier models and its own image-to-video system, VEED Fabric, and its APIs also support AI video features in leading creative products. VEED is a team of 150 people, generates $50M ARR, and is backed by Sequoia.
Work model
VEED follows a hybrid way of working that helps teams balance professional and personal life. For team members based in London, Amsterdam, and Barcelona, the expectation is to work from the office 3 days per week during the first 6 months to build strong connections and collaborate closely. After that period, the office commitment reduces to 1 day per week, with flexibility to choose the day that works best.
Role overview
The company is looking for a video editor who can create polished, purposeful content across a wide range of formats, including YouTube long-form, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and customer stories. This role sits within the creative team and partners closely with brand and design. Strong judgment around brand, taste, and finish is essential, and the editor will own projects from the initial brief through final export.
The role also requires working with AI tools as a regular part of the editing process, including creating fully AI-generated videos for organic and paid social campaigns when needed.
Key responsibilities
- Edit both long-form and short-form content for channels such as YouTube, Instagram, X, TikTok, paid advertising, and customer stories.
- Create fully AI-generated videos for organic and paid social media use cases.
- Use a camera when required, including filming events and customer stories on site.
- Shape and protect VEED’s visual style so every edit reflects the brand’s point of view.
- Develop formats and creative styles that feel native to each platform.
- Build sound design, motion, and music into edits from the start of the process.
- Use transitions, effects, and audio mixing to increase engagement and watch time.
- Apply VEED’s brand guidelines independently while collaborating with the brand and design teams.
- Work within campaign briefs and elevate them with stronger creative thinking.
- Use AI tools such as ElevenLabs, Weave, and image/video generation models to improve speed and output quality.
- Keep up with platform trends and contribute new format ideas.
- Handle several projects at once and consistently deliver on time.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of professional video editing experience, with social-first experience considered a strong advantage. They should be confident using Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve, comfortable working across different aspect ratios and content lengths, and able to shoot content when necessary. A strong understanding of video specs, formats, and platform best practices is important, along with familiarity with AI-assisted production workflows.
The company values people who are self-motivated, collaborative, able to form and defend creative opinions, and willing to adapt when needed. Experience editing ads or paid social content is considered a plus.
Application requirement
Applicants must include a link to their portfolio or showreel with their application.
What we offer
- A monthly subsidy that can be used flexibly for things such as office furniture, childcare, gym memberships, or other personal needs.
- Unlimited paid holidays.
- A fully equipped home office setup, including items such as a laptop, monitors, headsets, and keyboards.
- Confidential mental health support through Spill.
- Stock options so team members can share in the company’s growth.
Pay
The salary for this role in London is £43,200 to £54,000 gross per year.
Additional information
Salary offers are based on market data and are reviewed regularly. The final offer will depend on experience and skills relative to the role level. The company does not ask about current or previous salary at any stage of the hiring process.
VEED encourages people to apply even if they do not meet every listed requirement. Curiosity, drive, and the ability to learn are valued as highly as existing expertise. The company also states that it does not consider a candidate’s background, school, or previous employers as deciding factors; exceptional work is what matters most.
Data consent
By applying, the candidate agrees that their personal data may be collected, processed, and retained by the company for the purpose of managing and evaluating the application.
