Role overview
An opportunity is available for an energetic and driven Valeter to join the Motorstore team in Huddersfield. The role focuses on preparing vehicles so they are consistently displayed to a high, polished standard.
What the role involves
- Preparing sold and stock vehicles so they look clean and well-presented.
- Washing exteriors using pressure-washing equipment.
- Vacuuming and shampooing interiors with professional cleaning tools.
- Using polishing and buffing equipment to improve the finish of bodywork.
- Following health and safety rules when handling chemicals and cleaning products.
- Keeping tools and machinery in safe working order, securing them properly, and reporting faults promptly.
- Working within set deadlines and performance targets.
- Managing vehicle bookings and schedules through an online diary system.
- Maintaining a daily log of completed work.
- Supporting the branch with any additional tasks needed.
Working hours
This is a full-time position with the following schedule: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 5:30pm; Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm; and alternate Saturdays, 8:00am to 12:00pm.

Skills and experience
The role suits someone who enjoys active, hands-on work, has strong attention to detail, and works well as part of a team. A full UK driving licence and basic computer skills are required. Previous valeting experience would be helpful but is not essential, as full training can be provided. New starters will also attend the Valet Academy.
