UI Engineer

Role overview

This is a contract-based remote role for a Javascript Developer focused on building high-quality user interfaces and frontend experiences. The position offers hourly compensation of $30 to $90 and is suitable for a weekly commitment of 10 to 40 hours.

What you will do

• Create, refine, and improve reliable frontend solutions using advanced JavaScript practices.
• Work closely with teams across functions to turn business needs into clear, user-friendly digital experiences.
• Take ownership of architectural choices and support junior developers while upholding strong coding standards.
• Use current frontend frameworks and libraries to build applications that can scale and remain easy to maintain.
• Review code, share actionable feedback, and promote efficient, readable development practices.
• Diagnose challenging technical problems and remove performance issues that affect the user experience.

What we are looking for

• Deep hands-on experience developing complex web applications with JavaScript.
• Strong command of modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular, along with state management tools.
• Ability to produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly documented code.
• Experience influencing frontend architecture and guiding development efforts.
• Solid understanding of responsive design and frontend performance tuning.
