Job description
About the Role
This position is designed for an educator who can balance hands-on tutoring with strong coordination and client communication. It is a full-time onsite role for someone with experience teaching or tutoring high school students and keeping tutoring operations organized and efficient.
The right person will be comfortable helping a student prepare for an exam one moment and then updating a parent, managing schedules, and aligning everyone involved the next. If you enjoy student support and also understand the value of reliable systems behind the scenes, this opportunity may be a strong fit.
Student Tutoring and Academic Support
- Work one-on-one with high school students in subjects that match your background
- Help students strengthen study habits, manage time better, prepare for tests, and build confidence in schoolwork
- Monitor student progress and communicate updates clearly to families
- Partner with families to revise learning plans as student needs change
Tutor Coordination and Operations
- Manage tutor calendars, student pairings, and session arrangements
- Act as a main contact for tutoring families and maintain prompt, professional communication
- Keep session records, notes, and progress details accurate in internal tools
- Support onboarding and ongoing guidance for part-time tutors
- Help improve internal workflows so the program runs more smoothly and consistently
Client Experience and Communication
- Stay in regular contact with parents about scheduling, academic progress, and next steps
- Take a proactive approach to identifying issues and resolving them early
- Make sure families feel informed, supported, and confident in the tutoring program
What the Employer Is Looking For
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree, preferably in education, a subject specialty, or a related field, along with prior experience tutoring or teaching high school students. Strong organization, close attention to detail, and polished, friendly communication with both parents and students are important for success. Comfort with scheduling software, CRM systems, and other digital tools is also expected.
Preferred Background
Additional strengths include teaching certification or classroom experience, experience managing schedules or operations in an educational environment, familiarity with high school coursework, standardized testing, or college preparation, and the ability to handle several priorities while still following through reliably.
Traits That Help You Succeed
People who do well in this role usually like order, care about student outcomes and family satisfaction, act ahead of problems, and can move naturally between teaching and operations work. A systems-minded approach that supports people, rather than replacing them, is especially valued.
Why This Role Matters
This job plays an important part in both academic growth and operational quality. You will help students make progress while also creating a tutoring experience that feels clear, dependable, and trustworthy for parents and the team. Your work will have a direct effect on students, families, and the broader tutoring operation.
