Transporter

Role Overview

As a Transporter, you will work under the supervisor’s guidance to move patients safely and efficiently throughout the hospital. You will also be responsible for delivering items to patient care areas and keeping transport equipment in proper working order. In addition, you may support Public Safety with patient restraints and standby assistance when needed.

Schedule

This is a full-time evening role, scheduled Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients between areas within the hospital.
• Deliver materials and items to patient care units and other clinical areas.
• Check and maintain transport equipment so it remains functional and ready for use.
• Assist Public Safety staff with patient restraints and standby support as required.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required, or it must be completed within 6 months of joining.
• Prior hospital or similar experience is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Training will be provided on the job.
