Role overview

Ryanair is one of Europe’s best-known low-fare airlines, with a network of more than 3,700 flights each day. It operates from over 95 bases, serves 250 destinations across 37 countries, and uses a fleet of more than 640 aircraft.

As the company continues to expand, it is hiring Trainee Sheet Metal Workers for a 12-week training programme. New intakes are planned throughout 2026. The programme is open to everyone and is designed to help candidates build new skills and work toward a licensed engineering career.

What the role involves

  • Perform assigned maintenance work with limited supervision.
  • Deliver consistently high standards across all tasks.
  • Prepare and complete the required paperwork and records.
  • Follow company procedures, rules, regulations, and MOE requirements.
  • Keep the work area safe, tidy, and well organised.
  • Adhere to the company health and safety policy at all times.
  • Take on any other duties requested by a supervisor or manager.

What you need

  • Experience in aircraft maintenance is helpful, but it is not mandatory.
  • A HNC, HND, or similar qualification in engineering or mechanical studies is required.
  • A solid background in engineering, maintenance, or mechanics is essential.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn are important.
  • Strong spoken and written English skills are required.
  • You must be available to work shifts, including night shifts.
  • You should be able to adapt easily in a fast-moving environment.
  • A clean background check is required for the successful candidate.
