Role overview

This full-time, on-site position at Megafactory CA (MFCA) is centered on creating memorable factory tours, strengthening stakeholder understanding of Tesla’s products and capabilities, and supporting programs that improve site culture, employee engagement, and business communication. The role is based in Lathrop, California, and requires an in-person presence Monday through Friday.

Key responsibilities

You will plan and deliver high-quality tours for a range of audiences, including customers, executives, internal teams, families, friends, VIPs, and educators. The role also involves coordinating tour logistics, supporting leadership communication, and contributing to event and culture initiatives across the factory.

  • Lead engaging, brand-consistent factory tours that help visitors understand Tesla Energy products, the company mission, and manufacturing processes through direct interaction.
  • Record and organize photos and other content during customer, family, and friends tours to support storytelling and team engagement.
  • Arrange and tailor tours for different audience groups in partnership with stakeholders from Sales, Business Development, Engineering, Operations, and related teams.
  • Oversee end-to-end tour operations, including visitor check-in, audiovisual setup, safety briefings, accessibility support, and guide training.
  • Coach and direct tour guides so they can deliver clear, compelling, and on-brand presentations.
  • Collect visitor feedback, review satisfaction results, and share program insights with leadership to support ongoing improvement.
  • Assist with MFCA events, recognition activities, and culture-building programs while staying aligned with company policies and safety requirements.
  • Handle factory-wide communications, digital channels, leadership events such as All Hands and QBRs, budgeting, vendor coordination, and operational reporting for the Sr. Program Manager.

What the role requires

  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to connect well with different audiences.
  • Confidence in presenting to large groups and responding to many questions at once.
  • Comfort interacting with Tesla leaders, executives, high-value customers, and other important visitors.
  • Substantial experience in customer service, sales, and the energy industry; experience in energy storage is a plus.
  • Ability to drive a tram, golf cart, or passenger van around a factory environment while explaining production processes.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a fast-moving, changing, and sometimes unclear environment.
  • Physical stamina to work for long periods, with shifts of up to 12 hours.
  • Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfort with bending, lifting, stooping, lying down, squatting, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and crawling.
  • Ability to identify process issues and receive safety signals through sight, touch, or hearing.
  • Willingness to work around confined spaces and hazardous materials.
  • Regular, repeated walking across the Lathrop campuses to conduct tours.
  • Compliance with PPE and safety requirements, including safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, and related rules.

Compensation details

The expected annual salary range is $68,400 to $113,400, plus cash awards, stock awards, and benefits. Final pay may differ based on market conditions, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional compensation elements may apply depending on the offer.

Additional notes

This is a full-time onsite position requiring Monday through Friday physical presence at MFCA. The job may involve exposure to safety-sensitive and industrial work conditions.
