Telecom Engineer

Role overview

Burjline Builders is looking for a Telecom Engineer in Doha, Qatar to support telecom systems used in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) environments. The role focuses on keeping communication networks reliable so meter data can move accurately and without interruption.

Key responsibilities

• Help run, maintain, and connect telecommunication systems used in AMI solutions.
• Keep telecom equipment and communication networks under regular watch, resolve faults, and improve performance for meter data transfer.
• Look into telecom breakdowns, connection problems, communication interruptions, and possible tampering events, then document findings with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Draft and deliver accurate daily, weekly, and monthly progress updates covering manpower deployment, work progress, completed tasks, open items, and overall project status as required by the contract.
• Offer advanced technical assistance during installation, commissioning, operation, upkeep, and repair of telecom and AMI communication systems.
• Work in line with ISO requirements, company risk controls, information security rules, and HSE standards.
• Guide and support junior engineers, technicians, and field teams through mentoring and knowledge transfer.
• Take on any additional tasks assigned by management to meet team and organizational goals.
