Role overview

This Technician role focuses on supporting daily coating production operations, maintaining process discipline, and ensuring product quality during coating activities.

Main duties

• Carry out the day-to-day coating production workflow.
• Review the machine plan and confirm that all required process inputs are loaded into the correct equipment.
• Arrange coating materials for pre-melting and make sure shutters and sidewalls are properly cleaned.
• Record process and machine settings for each run in the coating checklist.
• Oversee the coating process and guide colleagues operating other machines when needed.
• Adjust venting temperature and remove the segment from the machine after venting.
• Complete spectral checks according to specification by selecting the correct template.
• Take on other production tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• A Diploma in Engineering or a similar qualification is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is needed.
• Background in optics polishing or thin film manufacturing will be considered an advantage.
• Ability to interpret SOPs, work instructions, and technical drawings, and train others on them.
• Good understanding of product quality expectations and system regulations.
• Strong interpersonal ability and a positive work attitude.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Must be comfortable with rotating shifts or a 12-hour shift schedule.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other basic Microsoft applications.
