About the Role

Puratos is seeking a motivated Technical Advisor to join our R&D team in Nairobi, Kenya. This role is crucial for inspiring and supporting customers across Kenya and East Africa. Reporting to the R&D Director, you will leverage your high-end technical expertise to create exceptional finished goods and provide advanced bakery and patisserie solutions using Puratos' core product range. You will collaborate closely with Sales and R&D teams to sustain current business and uncover new opportunities through superior technical service, engaging demonstrations, and innovative product concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver impactful technical demonstrations, training sessions, workshops, and events, offering hands-on customer support.
• Conceptualize and develop innovative finished goods and product ideas by monitoring global and local market trends, crafting new recipes, and customizing solutions for client meetings.
• Drive business development by promoting Puratos' key products, nurturing existing client relationships, identifying new prospects, and contributing to marketing initiatives.
• Facilitate new product development by sharing technical insights, conducting product testing, supporting launches, and preparing essential materials like photos, videos, and concept presentations in conjunction with R&D, Sales, and Marketing teams.
• Maintain a professional and operational Innovation Center, cultivate professional networks, and build strong connections with customers.
• Develop pastry recipes to expand the company's recipe database.
• Provide comprehensive support to all regions within Kenya as required.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of production experience within the food, bakery, or patisserie industry.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in people management to effectively engage with customers, internal teams, and external partners.
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the country for business needs.
• Ability to thrive in an international corporate environment.
• A proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative team player attitude.
• Proficiency with computer and tablet tools.
• Possession of patisserie-related certifications is advantageous.
