Job description
About the role
We are hiring a Supply Chain Planner focused on project logistics and deployment to manage planning, coordination, and execution across material movement, vendor interactions, logistics, and project delivery. The role acts as the main coordination link between internal teams and external partners, making sure schedules, materials, and operational workflows stay aligned from early-stage planning through project closeout.
Key responsibilities
- Handle material planning, logistics timelines, and delivery execution with internal departments, contractors, vendors, and other operational stakeholders.
- Set up process workflows that align with operational requirements for inbound and outbound movements, returns, asset handling, quarantine, and exception cases.
- Assist project teams by tracking inventory, planning spares, monitoring consumption, and escalating quality-related issues.
- Work with vendors on lead times, production schedules, and supply readiness to support equipment and material deployment.
- Evaluate storage, inventory control, and material movement approaches and recommend workable improvements for project sites.
- Keep vendor, contractor, and project delivery records up to date in material and logistics databases.
- Act as a main contact for escalations involving material handling, delivery delays, and site support matters.
- Support stock checks, cycle counts, and accuracy of on-site inventory records.
- Improve supply chain efficiency by reducing unnecessary handling steps and increasing value-added work.
- Prepare forecasts and hold regular reviews with stakeholders on material movement and planning needs.
- Coordinate with site teams on storage areas, loading bay use, delivery routes, and site logistics planning.
- Assist with phase closeout tasks, including inventory reconciliation and transfer into the next inventory pool.
- Share clear updates on inventory usage, wastage, and storage balances across on-site and off-site locations.
- Support equipment control activities and asset tagging processes.
Requirements
- A diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a similar field.
- Prior exposure to planning, logistics coordination, inventory management, project support, or supply chain operations is preferred.
- Ability to manage several stakeholders and handle shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- High attention to detail and the discipline to maintain accurate schedules, reports, and tracking records.
Preferred skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Stakeholder coordination and relationship management.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Experience working with vendors, delivery schedules, and project timelines.
- Comfort using planning tools, spreadsheets, and reporting platforms.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team setting.
