Job Overview
Shaklee is seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Planner to join its Operations team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of world-class nutrition, personal care, and household products to customers globally. The planner will manage the complete production planning and purchase order process for designated product categories, collaborating with contract manufacturers, Sourcing, Marketing, and international teams to maintain product availability, reduce backorders, and optimize inventory levels.
Essential Functions
- Create and implement production plans and purchase orders to meet domestic and international demand.
- Proactively monitor supply and demand indicators, adjusting plans to prevent stockouts and manage excess inventory.
- Maintain item master data, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) relationships, and planning parameters within NetSuite.
- Contribute to Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes by providing accurate inventory and supply data.
- Act as the main planning liaison for assigned contract manufacturers.
- Collaborate with Sourcing, Marketing, and Product Development teams on new product introductions, promotional activities, and product transitions.
- Identify and report potential supply chain risks to prevent customer impact.
- Develop and maintain planning dashboards and standard operational reports.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in inventory or supply chain planning within the consumer goods or manufacturing sectors.
- Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and robust analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- Prior experience with international or global supply chains.
- Familiarity with S&OP methodologies.
- Possession of APICS CPIM certification or an equivalent qualification.
