About the role
This role is a development pathway intended to prepare the selected candidate for future store manager responsibilities at CVS Health. The program is built to strengthen leadership capability through a structured 16-week learning journey that blends self-paced study with collaborative training.

Training and support
The Store Manager in Training program includes both virtual and hands-on learning opportunities. Support is provided by a District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and a store manager coach to help build readiness for future leadership roles.

- Take part in key learning experiences with your leader throughout the structured program.
- Contribute as a member of the store management team and lead in line with CVS values and policies.
- Work with colleagues to support the company purpose of helping people on their path to better health.
- Be prepared to accept promotion opportunities within the market you work in.
- Communicate clearly in both spoken and written formats to guide and support the team.
- Deliver strong customer care and maintain a high standard of service.
- Carry out merchandising plans that help drive store sales.
- Oversee inventory and store assets to help protect profitability.
Promotion and transfer expectations
Being selected for this program does not ensure promotion to Store Manager. Advancement depends on factors such as performance and the availability of openings. The role also requires willingness to accept a Store Manager promotion at any location within the designated market and the ability to transfer among CVS Pharmacy stores in that market.
Schedule and pay
The expected weekly schedule is 45 hours, and the position is full time. The typical pay range for this role is $18.50 to $23.88 per hour. Final pay will be based on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
