Store Manager

About the Role

Kalki Fashion is seeking an experienced and energetic Store Manager to take charge of the ethnic menswear floor at its Surat retail location. This position sits within the sales function and reports to the Store Manager/Retail Head. The right candidate will bring strong retail leadership, a sharp understanding of menswear, and the ability to create a refined, customer-first shopping experience in a luxury fashion setting.

What You’ll Do

• Guide, coach, and supervise the ethnic menswear sales team to maintain strong performance and high service standards.
• Train team members regularly on product details, selling techniques, and customer care practices.
• Run team discussions to review targets, new product updates, and customer feedback.
• Assign work clearly and keep the team aligned with store objectives.
• Stay fully informed about menswear collections, fabric choices, tailoring/customization options, and fashion trends.
• Keep track of new launches, exclusive lines, and promotional offers so customers receive the latest recommendations.
• Explain design elements, fabric quality, stitching, and fit in a clear and useful way.
• Deliver personalized service and help customers choose ethnic menswear suited to their needs and occasions.
• Offer styling guidance and assist customers in creating complete looks.
• Address complaints and service concerns promptly and professionally to support customer loyalty.
• Build strong relationships with repeat shoppers to encourage return visits and referrals.
• Meet and surpass sales targets for the ethnic menswear section.
• Plan and execute actions that boost sales, attract footfall, and improve revenue.
• Track both individual and team performance and provide ongoing feedback to improve results.
• Upsell and cross-sell products such as sherwanis, kurtas, accessories, and footwear.
• Oversee day-to-day floor operations so the area remains neat, organized, and attractive.
• Ensure products are properly stocked, displayed, tagged, and sized according to brand standards.
• Support visual merchandising for fresh arrivals, seasonal trends, and featured collections.
• Manage inventory levels, monitor stock movement, and coordinate replenishment.
• Assist with stock counts, stock control, and timely reordering.
• Handle customer order processing and ensure accurate delivery with correct size and fit.
• Collect customer feedback and share insights with management to improve service and product selection.
• Encourage the team to respond positively to customer suggestions and concerns.
• Represent the Kalki Fashion brand with professionalism and a strong sense of luxury and quality.
• Promote new collections, offers, and store events to deepen engagement and support sales growth.

Requirements

• You should have at least 6 years of retail management experience.
• At least 3 years of that experience should involve managing a sales team in ethnic wear, menswear, or luxury fashion.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a qualification in fashion, retail management, or business will be an added advantage.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team are essential.
• You need solid knowledge of ethnic menswear styles, fabrics, and current market trends.
• Excellent customer service abilities and a talent for creating personalized shopping experiences are important.
• Sales, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills should be well developed.
• You must be organized and capable of handling store operations efficiently.
• Experience with inventory handling and POS systems is preferred.
• A positive, energetic, and professional approach is expected.
• The role requires patience, empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.

Working Conditions

• This is an in-store role at Kalki Fashion in Surat, India.
• Working hours are from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
• Workdays run from Monday to Sunday, with one rotational weekly off between Monday and Thursday.
• The job requires standing for long periods, helping with fittings, and keeping the menswear section well organized.
