About the Role
Leverage your accounting and finance expertise to become a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). This role offers a unique career transition, allowing you to enhance your skills while contributing to national security. You will apply your financial acumen to critical cases involving cyberattacks, terrorism, and fraud, working alongside top professionals. The FBI provides specialized training, investigative experience, and advanced technology to help you excel. This position is exempt from the federal civilian hiring freeze.
Major Duties
- Spearhead investigations into potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity threats, and public safety issues.
- Apply critical thinking, resourcefulness, and adaptability to meet diverse investigative challenges.
- Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with law enforcement agencies at all levels, including federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international bodies.
- Maintain a high level of physical fitness to effectively perform law enforcement duties.
Key Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
- Must be prepared to travel as needed.
- Must satisfy all FBI employment eligibility criteria.
Education
A bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university is required. A degree in accounting or a related field such as business administration, finance, or forensic accounting is preferred. All degrees must be verified with official college transcripts.
