Role overview
This position is for a Spa Supervisor in Doha, Qatar, within the Spa job family. The role is a full-time, non-management position based on site at Salwa Road, Doha. It focuses on supporting day-to-day spa operations, maintaining service standards, and ensuring smooth coordination across the spa team and service providers.
Key duties
- Guide team members on general property information, internal group updates, policy changes, and other relevant details.
- Respond to common questions about available services, the property, and on-site amenities.
- Verify the guest’s full name and scheduled treatment type before the service begins.
- Track the schedule throughout the day and keep appointments running on time.
- Notify providers about last-minute changes or additions and help resolve scheduling conflicts when they arise.
- Promote and sell spa and salon services as well as retail products.
- Complete requests for additional products, supplies, and equipment.
- Inspect work areas, tools, and equipment to confirm they meet company standards.
- Inform Engineering about spa and salon maintenance and repair needs.
- Support management with hiring, training, scheduling, motivation, and coaching of staff, and act as a role model.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, maintain a clean and complete uniform, keep a professional appearance, protect confidential brand and hotel information, and safeguard company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge every guest according to company standards, anticipate service needs, assist people with disabilities, and thank guests sincerely.
- Use clear and polite communication, prepare and review written materials accurately, and answer phone calls with proper etiquette.
- Build positive working relationships and support the team in achieving shared goals.
- Meet quality assurance expectations and help implement improvement plans or corrective actions.
- Remain comfortable standing, sitting, and moving for extended periods.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 lb (4.5 kg) without assistance.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
The preferred education level is a high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required. No prior supervisory experience is necessary, and no license or certification is needed.
