About the Role
The Sourcing Associate is instrumental in supporting Sourcing and Product Development initiatives. This role involves advanced data analysis, managing sourcing systems, collaborating across departments, and fostering vendor partnerships. The associate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing sourcing and production data systems, overseeing costing procedures, tracking production schedules, and analyzing substantial datasets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and communicate data discrepancies, potential risks, and opportunities to internal teams.
- Generate, maintain, and distribute regular reports on sourcing activities, production status, and vendor performance.
- Process, analyze, and manage large datasets to support sourcing and production operations.
- Monitor production timelines, tracking key milestones to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Planning, Finance, Product Development, and Merchandising.
- Assist the Product Development team with new product introductions, system updates, and maintaining accurate product databases.
- Support key projects, special initiatives, and daily operational needs as required.
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with vendors.
Requirements
- Possess 3 to 5 years of experience in sourcing, supply chain, operations, or a similar analytical field.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
- Exhibit agility and adaptability, with the capacity to manage shifting priorities.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally.
- Proven experience in business reporting and operational analysis.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail, coupled with strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- Proficient in using sourcing platforms, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in processing and interpreting large datasets.
- Excellent multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle stages, including sampling, costing, and specification review.
- Experience with CAD files or product specification documents is advantageous.
