TITLE: Social Media Manager

Team Overview This role sits within the Marketing & Communication team and is centered on building organic customer growth through social media and community-led brand engagement.
Role Summary In this position, you will represent Decathlon across social channels and help shape meaningful conversations around the brand’s purpose of helping people experience the joy of sport. Your work will focus on growing reach, engagement, and brand presence organically within social communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, build, and deliver social media strategies for Decathlon.
- Develop and adapt content that stays true to the brand’s voice and encourages audience interaction.
- Partner with the sports and communications team to design campaigns and shape content for different platforms.
- Use strong editorial judgment to identify stories and turn Decathlon’s ecosystem into compelling narratives.
- Track new platforms, formats, tools, trends, technologies, and influencers while managing existing channels.
- Produce social content for brand campaigns, weekly themes, and everyday conversations.
- Oversee page health and online reputation management, and build a community strategy from the ground up.
- Use influencer marketing strategically by identifying relevant macro, micro, and nano influencers to expand awareness and reach.
- Manage the social media communication calendar.
- Measure performance through social metrics, insights, and best practices, then share recommendations with the core team.
- Coordinate with influencer partners and content agencies.
- Act as a strong brand guardian for all content created by or for Decathlon Sports India.
Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is passionate about sport, follows major sports events closely, and brings a strong grasp of social platforms and digital storytelling. You should be able to combine creativity with data, understand audience emotions, and communicate in a clear and brand-aligned way.
Application Requirements Applicants must submit an updated resume, a completed Decathlon interview form, and a case study presentation. The case study should be uploaded as a presentation with a maximum of 4 slides via a drive link with open access.
Case Study Brief Prepare a social media and influencer engagement plan for National Sports Day. Your presentation should cover the objective, target audience, concept, execution plan, channel choices with reasoning, 10 influencers or athletes with the rationale for each selection, the kind of content each profile should publish, sample social posts or reels including captions and hashtags, and the metrics that will be used to judge campaign success.
