Job Summary
The SMO Execution Manager leads the delivery side of strategic priorities, making sure major initiatives move forward in line with the organization’s goals. This role keeps track of strategic projects, measures progress through KPIs, flags risks early, and prepares reporting for leadership to support sound decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise the implementation of strategic initiatives and transformation programs across the organization.
- Create, update, and manage execution roadmaps, key milestones, and performance dashboards.
- Review progress against strategic targets and KPIs to ensure work is completed on time.
- Work with business units and project owners to clear blockers and resolve delivery issues.
- Draft executive-level reports, presentations, and progress updates for senior management.
- Spot risks, dependencies, and issues that could affect strategic programs and propose actions to reduce impact.
- Make sure governance procedures are respected and help run strategy review sessions.
- Monitor benefit delivery and evaluate the outcomes of strategic initiatives.
- Partner with the PMO and operational teams to keep project execution aligned with corporate strategy.
- Help improve strategy execution practices, tracking methods, and reporting tools.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Finance, or another relevant discipline is required. A master’s degree or MBA is preferred. Professional credentials such as PMP, PgMP, PMI-PMO, or similar strategy and execution certifications are considered a plus.
Experience
The ideal candidate should have 8 to 10 years of experience in Strategy Management, PMO, Corporate Performance, or Transformation. At least 3 years should be in a managerial or leadership position. Prior exposure to executive stakeholders and cross-functional collaboration is needed. Experience in government entities, holding companies, or large organizations is preferred.
