The organisation promotes a culture where learning, development, and progress are encouraged.
Role overview
This full-time, on-site position is based in Townsville, Queensland. The Site Supervisor will be responsible for the smooth running of day-to-day site activity, making sure homes are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with the company’s quality expectations.
Key responsibilities
The role involves coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, planning trade schedules, tracking construction progress against project timelines, and quickly addressing issues that arise on site. You will carry out regular inspections, check compliance with building regulations, health and safety requirements, and internal policies, and keep communication flowing between clients, head office, and site teams. The position also includes providing status updates, handling project paperwork, and assisting with handover activities to ensure a positive customer experience.
Qualifications and experience
Applicants should bring solid experience in residential site supervision and the ability to manage several builds at once. You will need to understand construction drawings, specifications, and building codes, and have proven capability in scheduling work, coordinating trades, and overseeing subcontractor performance. A good understanding of WHS practices and site compliance is essential.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are important, along with the confidence to work with clients, trades, and internal teams. You should also be able to solve problems effectively, make sound decisions, and keep attention on quality, time, and cost outcomes. Familiarity with construction management systems, digital tools, and standard office software is required.
A relevant trade qualification and/or a Certificate IV or higher in Building and Construction, or equivalent industry experience, is expected. A current driver’s licence is required, and you must be able to travel between sites as needed. Experience in volume residential building or franchised building environments will be looked upon favourably.
