- Shape system-level architecture, including how functions are divided across the solution.
- Improve cloud and infrastructure platforms with a strong focus on financial efficiency and cost control.
- Maintain strong levels of availability, resilience, and scalability across environments.
- Lead backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- Work with Engineering, DevOps, and other teams to design and roll out new solutions.
- Partner with Release and Change Management to ensure deployments are carefully planned, documented, and backed by rollback options.
- Take part in change review and approval activities in line with internal policies.
- Coach and support engineers and operational teams through technical leadership and mentoring.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to keep delivery aligned.
- Build trusted client relationships and provide reliable technical advice.
- Support bids, tenders, and variation submissions with solution design and cost estimation.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement across infrastructure and operations.
- Follow quality, safety, environmental, security, and HR procedures, and carry out other assigned duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, IT, or a closely related field.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, including work in high-performance cloud environments.
- Deep hands-on experience with infrastructure architecture across servers, storage, networks, and applications.
- Advanced capability in Azure and AWS, including automation and cloud-native services.
- Proven ability to prepare detailed infrastructure designs and cost estimates for customer solutions.
- Strong understanding of high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery practices.
- Experience with advanced network designs such as load balancers, firewalls, and virtual networks.
- Working knowledge of call center platforms such as ACD/PBX, CTI, and IVR.
- Strong ability to tune systems and improve performance.
- Experience implementing monitoring and alerting solutions.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing abilities.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
- Self-directed, adaptable, detail-focused, and able to work effectively in both independent and team settings.
- Comfortable in fast-moving matrix environments and able to handle pressure and deadlines.
- Structured, organized, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
