Security Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a Security Manager to oversee and direct all security operations for Gulf Asia Contracting in Doha, Qatar. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and protection of personnel, assets, facilities, and sensitive information. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and executing robust security strategies, managing advanced security systems, leading a dedicated security team, and ensuring strict adherence to all relevant industry standards and legal mandates. A strong background in leadership, risk management, and extensive experience within the oil & gas or industrial project sectors are essential.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage daily security activities across various project sites and company facilities.
• Formulate and implement effective security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect staff, property, and data.
• Conduct thorough security risk assessments to pinpoint vulnerabilities and implement strategies to mitigate potential threats.
• Design and execute comprehensive security plans and emergency response frameworks tailored to project and operational needs.
• Oversee the deployment and maintenance of access control, surveillance, intrusion detection, and alarm systems.
• Ensure all security systems and equipment are functioning optimally and are properly maintained.
• Lead, mentor, and manage security personnel, including providing training, assigning tasks, and conducting performance reviews.
• Direct and manage responses to security incidents and emergencies, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
• Act as a liaison with law enforcement, regulatory bodies, and other external stakeholders as needed.
• Perform regular security audits and compliance checks to verify adherence to legal and industry regulations.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training and communication programs for all employees.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance security processes and procedures in response to evolving threats and operational demands.
• Maintain meticulous records of security reports, activities, and incident logs.
• Uphold company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, client specifications, and operational guidelines.
• Support senior management in the implementation of security enhancements and strategic objectives.

Mandatory Requirements

• Possession of a Diploma or Degree in any field of study.
• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience as a Security Manager specifically within Oil & Gas Projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in industrial and project-based security operations.
• Proven experience in managing security systems, orchestrating emergency responses, and handling incident management.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office Suite and email communication.
• Exceptional communication, coordination, and documentation capabilities.
• Preference will be given to candidates with a background in the Army, BSF, CRPF, or CISF (GD cadre, Subordinate Officers/JCOs/NCOs) with at least 10 years of service and an unblemished record.
