Job description
About the Role
AA New Zealand is seeking a Sales Support professional to assist the Mobility Sales team with coordination, administration, documentation, and reporting across the Mobility product range. The role also includes direct customer engagement through sales calls, identifying internal sales opportunities, and promoting cross-sell options for AA Mobility products.
About the Organisation
For more than 120 years, AA has supported New Zealanders on their journeys and has grown from a motoring club into a large, well-known organisation serving over a million members with a broad range of services and products.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound sales enquiries by answering calls, sharing marketing information, giving pricing details, and following up with prospective customers.
- Manage relationships with existing customers by confirming current cover and identifying opportunities to cross-sell AA Mobility offerings such as driver training, batteries, and roadside assistance.
- Support the sales team with sales information coordination, contract preparation, and sales reporting.
- Deliver strong service to new and existing clients and escalate issues to the Sales Manager when required.
- Assist with onboarding new customers end to end, keeping CRM and related systems accurate, and working closely with Sales, Contract, and Accounts teams to ensure a smooth handover.
- Provide administrative help to Sales Management, including gathering information for reports.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant brings at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, along with excellent customer service and communication skills. Prior administrative experience is important, preferably in the automotive sector. A background in sales techniques, solid Excel ability, great attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently while contributing to team goals are all valuable. A business-related qualification is preferred.
What’s on Offer
- Free AA membership for you and your family.
- One paid day off for your birthday.
- A hybrid work arrangement.
- Access to training and career development opportunities.
- Discounted insurance.
Additional Information
The organisation offers more than roadside assistance and continues to expand into new areas, creating fresh challenges and opportunities. It values diversity and encourages people to bring their authentic selves to work. Candidates are welcome to raise any support needs to help them take part in the recruitment process fairly. Applicants are also encouraged to reach out even if they do not meet every requirement, as a strong fit may still exist.
