About the Role
Join Plaid's New Business team, a group focused on expanding our reach within the financial services sector and identifying opportunities in adjacent industries that can benefit from advanced financial technology. As a New Business Representative, you will be instrumental in identifying and engaging new clients. We are seeking ambitious sales professionals with a background in SaaS/tech sales or outbound prospecting. Your role will involve understanding Plaid's value proposition, mapping organizational structures, engaging potential clients, setting up opportunities for Account Executives, conducting qualification calls, and nurturing early-stage leads. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, resilient, challenges conventional approaches, and is eager to advance their career in tech sales.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a vital member of the Plaid Go-To-Market team, supporting Account Executives in new business acquisition.
- Collaborate with the Marketing department to provide feedback on ongoing campaigns and contribute to the development of new initiatives.
- Identify potential clients and build a robust sales pipeline through proactive outbound campaigns.
- Assist new clients in their onboarding process with Plaid and address inquiries regarding our products.
- Pinpoint high-potential market segments to drive revenue growth.
Qualifications
- Possess 1-3 years of experience in pipeline development and/or sales, ideally within a SaaS company.
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-level discussions with business stakeholders.
- Skilled in articulating Plaid's value proposition to gauge customer interest.
- Capacity to excel in a fast-paced environment with high customer volume and tight deadlines.
- Exhibit a persistent and determined approach to sales.
- Proficient in using Salesforce.com or similar CRM systems.
- Experience interacting with customers and explaining complex technical products. A strong interest in financial services and technology, coupled with intellectual curiosity, is essential.
- Enthusiasm for working in a high-growth setting and contributing to process and tool development.
- A keen interest in developing technical expertise and a capacity to quickly learn Plaid's API functionalities.

Compensation is determined by factors including job scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, skillset, and location. Pay and benefits are subject to change.
Compensation Range: $106 - $91,995
