About the Role

Duck&Dodo is hiring a motivated Sales Associate to support its expanding community-focused retail business in London, Ontario. This role combines customer service, product guidance, and behind-the-scenes administrative work that helps the store run smoothly.

What You’ll Do

  • Create a welcoming and memorable in-store experience for every customer.
  • Interact with shoppers in person, over the phone, and through online channels.
  • Learn about the makers and products carried by the store and confidently share that knowledge with customers.
  • Recommend products based on individual customer needs and encourage purchases through thoughtful suggestions.
  • Handle customer concerns at store level in a timely, positive, and solution-oriented way.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale.
  • Keep the retail space attractive through product displays, replenishment, housekeeping, maintenance, and visual merchandising.
  • Manage store opening and closing duties.
  • Support vendors in the store by making sure items are correctly labelled and payout handling is completed.
  • Stay informed about the store’s products and the small businesses featured in the shop.
  • Assist with social media activity and website product updates.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Interest in design, home decor, and antiques.
  • Experience using Shopify and a point-of-sale system.
  • Familiarity with Instagram considered an advantage.
  • Post-secondary study in interior decorating or fashion merchandising is an asset.
  • Comfort using computers, including Excel, Shopify, and Word.
  • Cash handling experience is beneficial.
  • Weekend availability is required, with flexibility in scheduling.
  • Willingness to work at both locations: 270 Adelaide St S and 900 King Street.

Additional Information

This position is based in London, Ontario, Canada and is a part-time, on-site retail role.
