Job description
Position overview
The Research Associate in Analytical Sciences will carry out routine laboratory testing to support T cell therapy programs, with a strong focus on flow cytometry and cell-based cytotoxicity work. This role also contributes to the day-to-day functioning of the Analytical Sciences laboratory.
Key responsibilities
- Run routine analytical assays to evaluate cell products and processes, especially flow cytometry, live-cell imaging, and luciferase-based tests.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic laboratory notebook records for all assigned work.
- Help prepare, revise, and review eLN templates so that they are complete and ready for use.
- Monitor assay outputs and track method performance indicators.
- Support general lab operations, including equipment oversight, lab upkeep, restocking supplies, and managing reagent inventory.
- Work closely with process development, manufacturing, quality control, and quality assurance teams on shared projects.
Required skills and experience
- Practical experience performing and interpreting flow cytometry assays is required.
- Experience culturing T cells and/or working with cell-based assays is preferred.
- A background in a regulated lab setting such as GMP, GLP, or CLIA is considered an advantage.
Education requirements
- Master’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field with relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
Compensation and contract details
The pay rate is $32 to $40 per hour. The assignment duration is 1 year. The role is based in Santa Monica, California.
