Role overview
As an IDEXX Radiologist, you will provide specialist diagnostic insight that helps veterinary teams and pet owners make well-informed decisions about animal care.
What the role involves
- Contribute to a global telemedicine environment with employment options across 30+ countries and access to local benefits.
- Work on a 30-hour weekly schedule as a full-time employee, with an optimized timetable that supports work-life balance. A prorated part-time arrangement, casual engagement, or independent contractor setup may also be available.
- Collaborate with an international team across five continents and receive guidance from an experienced mentor from the start.
- Support your profession and community through resident continuing education events and up to 16 hours of paid volunteer leave each year.
- Use a digital platform designed for efficient report reading and dictation, including automated hanging protocols and the option to route a case to support with one click.
- Take part in internal and external continuing education activities, with eligible conference expenses reimbursed by IDEXX.
- Become eligible for an annual stock award if you work 75% time or more.
- Receive access to 24/7 specialist and IT support when needed.
- Benefit from telemedicine support veterinarians who help reduce phone calls and follow-ups so you can focus on more patients.
Requirements
- Board certification is required, or you should be close to certification, with credentials such as DACVR, DECVDI, or FANZCVS (Radiology).
- You should be fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Strong accuracy, organization, analytical thinking, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities are important for this role.
- Availability and interest in working weekend and evening hours in the US time zone are expected.
Compensation and benefits
- Pay is production-based, with no upper limit on earning potential.
- An advance is provided against expected production outcomes.
- Employees working 75% time or more may receive an annual stock award.
