Radiography Assistant

Role overview

Key duties

• Support patients with basic care needs, including guidance, personal hygiene assistance, and help with clothing changes when required.
• Work alongside doctors and radiographers in examination areas by moving patients onto the examination couch, helping prepare them for imaging procedures, and serving as a chaperone when needed.
• Enter and update information in the worklist and Radiology Information System.
• Carry out daily preventive maintenance checks for the general X-ray machine.
• Interact comfortably and respectfully with patients throughout the service process.
• Handle administrative tasks related to the radiology workflow.
• Collect and manage data as required.
• Keep request forms properly stored and help retrieve them from storage or system records.

Requirements

• At least N Level education is required.
• A WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care), or an equivalent qualification, is preferred.
• Basic computer skills are necessary.
• Good teamwork, interpersonal ability, and communication skills are important.
