Role Overview

This full-time position is based on site in Doha, Qatar. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for controlling project costs, aligning expenditure with approved budgets, preparing bills of quantities, and maintaining accurate financial and cost records throughout project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor project spending and help ensure costs remain within the approved budget.
  • Perform cost-control reviews to track financial performance across project stages.
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Support cost planning activities and help develop practical budget forecasts.
  • Compile detailed cost management and reporting documents for project stakeholders.
  • Check that project execution follows applicable financial rules and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in cost control, including monitoring and managing project expenses.
  • Strong capability in preparing and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
  • Background in cost planning and cost management for project budget oversight.
  • Ability to produce clear, accurate, and detailed cost reports.
  • Good analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and sound decision-making skills.
  • Prior exposure to construction or a closely related industry is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and quantity surveying tools/software.
