Position Overview
The Quality Inspector on 1st Shift is responsible for checking aircraft components visually and functionally throughout different stages of processing.
Key Duties
- Carry out and record in-process, first article, receiving, and final inspections for aircraft parts and related processes.
- Review planning documents, tool designs, blueprints, specifications, and quality procedures to create accurate and complete inspection records.
- Set up and verify inspection tools and equipment before use.
- Work closely with team members across departments to resolve quality-related matters.
- Help operators understand quality requirements and inspection procedures.
- Prepare and submit nonconformance reports to QA administrators when issues are identified.
- Support internal audit activities as needed.
- Contribute ideas for improving the quality management system.
- Handle additional tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in masking or a similar role, with aerospace experience preferred.
- Strong focus on detail, good hand coordination, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical education or certification is an added advantage.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and complete repetitive work.
Export Compliance Requirement
This role involves access to EAR or ITAR-controlled technology. To qualify, candidates must be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws and must be a U.S. citizen.
