Quality Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Quality Engineer to support our Hyderabad manufacturing facility. In this role, you will help drive continuous improvement efforts and reduce defects by using structured problem-solving methods, data analysis, and strong technical understanding. Your work will focus on making sure our electrical stampings and die-casted parts consistently meet demanding quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate internal rejections and customer complaints, determine the underlying causes, and put corrective and preventive actions into place using methods such as 8D, Why-Why, and Ishikawa diagrams.
• Review production output on a daily basis to detect, classify, and study manufacturing defects in die-casted rotors and electrical stampings, including issues like porosity, shrinkage, burrs, and dimensional variation.
• Examine 2D and 3D engineering drawings as well as GD&T requirements to verify that finished components match customer specifications.
• Gather, organize, and evaluate quality metrics such as rejection rates, COPQ, and SPC data to spot patterns, assess action effectiveness, and support ongoing process improvement.
• Prepare clear and accurate quality documentation, including RCA notes, 8D reports, and management/customer-facing summaries.
• Maintain well-structured quality records, inspection registers, and standard operating procedures.

Required Skills

• Strong command of formal root cause analysis techniques such as RCA, 8D, Why-Why analysis, and fishbone diagrams.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerance requirements with accuracy.
• Solid data handling and analysis skills to convert inspection information into practical improvement actions.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel for analysis and PowerPoint/Word for reporting.
• Excellent organizational ability to manage audits, records, and corrective action timelines.
• Clear written and verbal communication with a sharp eye for detail.

Eligibility

This opportunity is open to candidates holding a B.Tech or B.E. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
