Role overview

JCB is expanding its global business, supported by developments in Hydrogen and E-Tech electric machines that help improve sustainability and energy efficiency in a changing market. To support this growth, the company is building a talent pool of commercially minded professionals for future Purchasing Manager and Senior Buyer opportunities within the Global Purchasing team.

What the role will involve

The purchasing function works with a wide range of internal partners to understand what the business needs and to create financial value through smart and competitive buying. The future roles in this pipeline are expected to take ownership of category-led purchasing activity across international manufacturing operations.

• Create and roll out global category strategies that support manufacturing sites in the UK, India, USA, China and Brazil.
• Negotiate and build effective supplier relationships across global markets to improve value, competitiveness and supplier performance.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, especially Product Development Engineers, to assess, select and introduce new technologies.

What JCB is looking for

The company is interested in hearing from both experienced and aspiring Purchasing Managers or Senior Buyers who can bring a balance of commercial awareness, analysis, and relationship-building capability. Success in the role will require confidence working across operational and strategic priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and benefits
