About the Role
AMARUMAYU is seeking a full-time Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. This on-site position is crucial for managing the daily purchasing operations. The role involves creating and overseeing purchase orders, monitoring delivery schedules, and ensuring a consistent supply of necessary materials, packaging, and other supplies. The Purchasing Coordinator will be the primary point of contact for vendors, responsible for negotiating prices and terms within set parameters, and resolving any discrepancies in orders, delivery times, or product quality. This individual will maintain meticulous purchasing records, update our internal systems, and work closely with the operations, finance, and logistics departments to ensure inventory levels align with production and sales demands. Additionally, the role includes evaluating supplier performance, analyzing purchasing data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process enhancement, and contributing to the establishment of standardized procurement protocols.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated understanding of purchasing procedures and best practices, with the capacity to adhere to and refine existing workflows.
- Practical experience in generating, reviewing, and managing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- A background in purchasing or procurement, encompassing vendor liaison, price comparison, and basic negotiation skills.
- Substantial experience with capital expenditures (CapEx).
- Strong analytical capabilities for tracking procurement metrics, evaluating inventory requirements, and identifying avenues for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheet software and purchasing or ERP systems, coupled with a keen eye for detail and data integrity.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, facilitating cross-functional collaboration and the cultivation of strong supplier relationships.
- Effective organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple concurrent orders and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
- An Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. Prior experience in the food and beverage or consumer packaged goods (CPG) sectors is advantageous.
