As our business expands, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to contribute to the delivery of various mining developments, infrastructure upgrades, capital works, and operational expansion projects.

About the Role
Reporting to the Director, the Project Manager will serve as the client's representative, overseeing the planning, coordination, delivery, and governance of mining projects. This includes mine site developments, infrastructure upgrades, sustaining capital works, and operational expansion projects. The role encompasses the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept and scope definition through engineering, procurement, construction oversight, commissioning, and operational handover. The objective is to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in alignment with client objectives, operational needs, and contractual agreements. The Project Manager will coordinate consultants, contractors, suppliers, and operational stakeholders, maintaining robust project governance, commercial oversight, and risk management throughout all stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead project delivery across the entire lifecycle, from feasibility studies and scope definition to commissioning and operational handover.
- Formulate project execution plans, delivery strategies, schedules, and budgets.
- Orchestrate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities managed by consultants and contractors.
- Act as the primary client representative during project execution.
- Track project performance against approved scope, schedule, and budget baselines.
- Manage project cost forecasting, financial reporting, project controls, and risk management.
- Lead procurement and tender processes for consultants, contractors, and service providers.
- Review and manage contractor performance, progress claims, variations, and contract changes.
- Coordinate project delivery within active mining operations and operational settings.
- Maintain project schedules, risk registers, action logs, and reporting systems.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, project teams, contractors, consultants, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to client, company, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide regular project reports and updates to clients and senior management.
About You
- Possess demonstrated experience managing capital projects in the mining, resources, or infrastructure sectors.
- Exhibit proven experience delivering mine site developments, infrastructure upgrades, and sustaining capital projects in operational mining environments.
- Have experience in a client-side or owner's team project management capacity.
- Demonstrate strong capabilities in managing contractors and consultants, including procurement, contract administration, and performance management.
- Show experience in managing project schedules, cost control, forecasting, and reporting.
- Possess a solid understanding of project management, governance, and risk management principles.
- Exhibit excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and foster effective working relationships.
- Display strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a practical, solutions-oriented approach to project delivery.
- Maintain high levels of accountability, professionalism, and ownership for project outcomes.
- Commit to upholding high standards of safety, integrity, and professionalism.
Qualifications
- A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Professional project management certification is considered advantageous.
- A current driver's license.
- A Construction White Card.
- A WA Statutory Supervisor’s Certificate is considered advantageous.
