Overview

Indman is hiring an experienced Project Inspection Coordinator for a long-term permanent direct-hire role in Doha, Qatar. The position sits within a major EPC environment supporting high-profile oil & gas and energy projects across the region. Compensation will be discussed only with candidates who are shortlisted.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine project quality control requirements and contractual documents to identify any gaps or inconsistencies and prevent misunderstandings, with a strong supply-chain-oriented approach.
  • Assist the Material Management function in issuing project QC procedures.
  • Help complete PMC and IDS documentation.
  • Support Material Management in classifying project purchase orders for inspection.
  • Provide specialist support, directly or through internal inspectors, to engineering teams reviewing vendor quality control documents such as Inspection and Test Plans and test procedures.
  • For every project purchase order, confirm that the required inspection assignment package is complete and available to the assigned inspector before inspection work begins.
  • With Material Management support, plan and arrange pre-inspection meetings when required, align schedules and locations with vendors, and ensure the right participants attend, including sub-vendors, the requisitioning team, the designated inspector, the client, and any required third-party representatives.
  • Manage the inspection notification workflow with clients and/or third parties in line with contractual obligations, making sure all required documents are ready before the notification is confirmed.
  • Review inspection reports submitted by internal and external inspectors and ensure they are correctly distributed and filed in SAP.
  • After a successful final test, confirm that all conditions are met and ensure the Inspection Release Note is issued in SAP without delay.
  • If an inspection does not meet requirements, oversee the proper handling of Non-Conformity Reports and punch lists.
  • Review and approve vendor manufactured data books and ensure the Final Test Certificate is issued in SAP on time.
  • Evaluate external agency inspectors using I-PERF and track their performance.

Professional Skills

  • Proven background in coordinating inspections and testing, including working with internal inspectors and third-party agencies.
  • Working knowledge of international standards, codes, manufacturing methods, welding, NDT, material inspection, and quality control practices.
  • Capability to handle project budgets, reporting, procedures, and complex inspection workflows while meeting project targets.
  • Strong understanding of the full supply chain process, from engineering and procurement through manufacturing, logistics, customs clearance, and installation.
  • Experience in post-order materials management, with attention to quality, schedule, cost, and purchase order compliance.
  • Familiarity with procurement policies, buying procedures, and related best practices.
  • Experience in vendor prequalification, performance tracking, vendor assessment, and database administration.

Employment Details

This is a permanent, direct-hire position based onsite in Qatar. It is a long-term opportunity. Salary details are not specified in advance and will be shared with selected candidates.
