About the Role
The Program Support Officer will provide high-quality administrative support to the Statewide Service Delivery team within Community Recovery. This role is crucial in assisting with the development, monitoring, and evaluation of systems and processes to ensure the efficient operation and continuous improvement of the branch’s administrative functions related to service delivery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record and extensive experience in providing administrative support to large, geographically dispersed teams. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential, along with prior experience in public, private, and/or not-for-profit sectors. This position contributes to the department's vision by fostering a performance-driven and customer-focused culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the creation, implementation, and upkeep of administrative systems and databases, including the monitoring and reporting of processes and procedures pertinent to the business area.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support for information and advice dissemination on various project initiatives, potentially encompassing financial, human resource, IT, information management, and other administrative duties relevant to the business area.
- Manage incoming correspondence, directing it to the appropriate personnel for action and alerting management to any emerging issues.
- Engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including management, regional offices, and staff, to guarantee the efficient and effective delivery of administrative support services for the business area.
- Compile information for official correspondence and assist in the preparation of submissions, reports, meeting minutes, agendas, and secretariat functions relevant to the business area.
- Conduct research, undertake project work, and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager or Director of Statewide Operations.
- Support the Manager, Statewide Operations in ensuring adherence to departmental processes and the understanding and implementation of organizational priorities.
