Job description

About the Role

We are seeking a diligent Production Planner to join our team at UTAC in Singapore. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient production scheduling, managing machine utilization, and collaborating with various departments to meet customer demands and key performance indicators. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning, preferably within the semiconductor industry, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the production planning and scheduling processes.
  • Develop recovery plans to address and minimize the impact of production line performance issues on customer commitments.
  • Monitor production forecasts, track machine utilization and performance metrics, and guide operations to achieve output, shipment, and revenue targets.
  • Ensure timely delivery to customers by meeting key performance indicators such as cycle time and on-time delivery.
  • Provide essential input to the Customer Service department regarding forecast loading, revenue achievement, shipments, and overall performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to guarantee that customer requirements are met for both current and future demand.
  • Document processes and procedures to ensure continuity and facilitate training.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the planning function.
  • Address production-related issues, applying sound judgment to solve complex problems concerning production performance, outputs, and requirements.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement and automation projects aimed at optimizing the manufacturing process, reducing cycle time, enhancing flow, and improving cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Possess a degree in any academic discipline.
  • Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a planning role, with a preference for experience in the semiconductor sector.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Be capable of thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, onsite position located in Singapore.
