Job description
About the Role
Collective Health is reimagining the way employers and their teams interact with health benefits by combining modern technology, attentive service, and a strong product design approach. The company’s mission is to replace a confusing healthcare experience with one that feels clear, reliable, and empowering. Within its TPA business, the product organization is creating scalable data and analytics capabilities that help payers, providers, employers, and members access trustworthy insights and act on them confidently.
What You Will Do
- Own the strategy and roadmap for one or more data product areas, such as claims reporting, eligibility, or compliance-related data delivery, while balancing near-term operational needs with long-term scale.
- Work closely with stakeholders from operations, client success, and external customers to uncover, define, and rank priorities for data pipelines, schemas, and reporting solutions.
- Convert business, regulatory, and operational needs into clear data product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Run Agile rituals including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives, while managing the work queue for data engineering and analytics teams.
- Create and monitor product metrics that measure data quality, timeliness, and adoption after release.
- Use SQL and BI tools to explore data, confirm requirements, troubleshoot issues, and inform product decisions.
- Act as the main escalation contact for data quality and pipeline problems, coordinating fixes across engineering and operations partners.
- Prepare and maintain documentation such as data dictionaries, workflow specifications, and requirement documents to improve team efficiency and stakeholder confidence.
What You Need
- A bachelor’s degree in business, data, healthcare, or a technology-focused discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in product management, analytics, or healthcare technology.
- Demonstrated success delivering data products or analytics platforms from end to end.
- Practical experience with Agile delivery and Jira, including the ability to independently lead sprint ceremonies.
- Working knowledge of SQL and at least one BI or analytics platform such as Looker, Sigma, or Tableau.
- Solid understanding of healthcare data topics, ideally including claims formats, eligibility, coordination of benefits, or compliance data.
- Strong communication skills and comfort presenting to technical teams, operations leaders, and client-facing stakeholders.
- Excellent organization and the ability to handle several parallel projects and shifting priorities.
