Our team members are knowledgeable ambassadors for beer, committed to health and safety, environmental sustainability, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB), and community support.
The Role
The Beer Store is seeking a full-time, permanent Procurement Specialist to join our Corporate Office team in Bolton, Ontario. Reporting to the Manager, Procurement, this role is pivotal in managing the end-to-end procurement of indirect goods and services across all company locations. This role is based at our Corporate Office in Bolton, ON. We offer a hybrid work model, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office, with additional in-office presence as needed based on role requirements and business functions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete contract lifecycle, including maintaining a master log of agreements (MSAs, NDAs, contracts), monitoring adherence and renewal timelines, and leading negotiations with vendors in conjunction with internal stakeholders and the Legal department.
- Provide support for SAP (Procure-to-Pay) processes, including system testing, training for end-users, resolving issues with business units, and ensuring supplier master data is accurate and aligned with negotiated terms.
- Manage the purchasing process for indirect spend categories for both TBS and BDL sites, fostering strong relationships, clear communication, and effective project management with internal partners and external suppliers.
- Lead comprehensive sourcing events (RFI/RFQ/RFP) in accordance with the Purchasing Policy, encompassing market analysis, supplier evaluation, preparation of bid documents, execution and assessment of bids, alignment with stakeholders, negotiation, award, and contract finalization.
- Drive procurement value through cost savings and avoidance initiatives, alongside process enhancements. Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to contracts, health and safety, loss prevention, and business/SAP procedures, ensuring ethical procurement practices are upheld.
- Manage vendor relationships and performance, including tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements, conducting business reviews, resolving escalated issues, and performing supplier site visits when necessary.
- Handle vendor communications and lead negotiations for commodity contracts to achieve optimal value for expenditures, in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Undertake other related projects and duties as assigned.
