They are seeking a dependable Process Operator who is strongly safety-minded to join a high-performing team in Wiri. The role involves working with highly automated equipment. Applicants must have full-time legal work rights in New Zealand.

Work details

  • Work location: Wiri
  • Roster: Monday to Friday
  • Shift hours: 7:00 am to 2:00 pm
  • Employment type: Permanent, full-time
  • Selection stages: interview, assessment, background and pre-employment medical checks, then final decision

Key responsibilities

  • Run industrial cooking systems and production machinery.
  • Operate highly automated equipment that fills chips into packets and packs those packets into boxes.
  • Accurately capture, report, and enter information into computer-based systems.
  • Carry out flavour testing properly and ensure the correct flavour is supplied for each production run.
  • Perform quality inspections as needed, while also managing materials and waste.

Experience and qualifications

  • Hands-on background in processing, food manufacturing, industrial kitchens, or cooking environments.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP and GMP, along with a consistent record of safe and reliable work habits.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, careful attention to detail, and a dependable approach to safety and attendance.
  • Ability to work effectively within a food production team.
  • Willingness to contribute actively to food safety goals within the team.
  • Interest in building a long-term career in food manufacturing with Bluebird.
