Job Summary

The Porter position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the front-of-house areas, including tables, counters, floors, windows, and beverage stations. This role ensures a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests.

Responsibilities

• Bussing, clearing, and cleaning tables during peak service times.
• Sweeping floors and preparing them for service.
• Safely transporting dishes and utensils from the front-of-house to the kitchen using appropriate equipment.
• Washing dishes, glasses, and pots, and cleaning cooking stations and equipment to maintain sanitation standards and ensure smooth service flow.
• Scraping and rinsing food from dishes before washing them by hand or machine.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of display equipment, ensuring it is free of debris and meets safety and sanitation standards.
• Assisting with receiving deliveries, including heavy items, and transporting them to designated storage areas while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Ensuring proper food presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures, following HACCP standards.
• Committing to personal safety and the safety of others.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures, including specific safety guidelines for handling knives, hot items, and using appropriate footwear and lifting techniques.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a storeroom environment is required.
• Prior food safety experience is necessary.
• Must be able to work weekends, afternoons, and evenings as required.
• Ability to follow safety procedures for lifting and handling various items.
• Willingness to adhere to all company policies, including specific safety protocols.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position located at the Abercrombie & Fitch Global Home Office in New Albany, OH. The schedule involves day shifts starting at 7:00 AM, with weekend, afternoon, and evening availability required. The pay range is $17.00 to $18.00 per hour. Bon Appétit Management Company maintains a drug-free workplace. Certain positions may require Florida Level 2 background screening.
