Role Overview

This position is for an experienced PMO Manager who will own the Project Management Office, set up governance structures, and guide project and portfolio execution across the business. The role calls for someone who can strengthen delivery practices, raise project management maturity, and keep all work closely tied to strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the PMO and maintain the project governance model.
  • Create and roll out project management methods, standards, policies, and working practices.
  • Oversee portfolios, programs, and major strategic initiatives across the organization.
  • Track delivery progress, timelines, budgets, risk exposure, and resource use.
  • Build reporting packs, dashboards, KPIs, and executive-level performance indicators.
  • Advise project managers and business leaders on planning, governance, and execution support.
  • Run portfolio assessments and recommend priorities and resource distribution.
  • Handle risk management, issue escalation, and change control workflows.
  • Work with stakeholders to keep projects aligned with business objectives.
  • Promote ongoing improvements that make project delivery more efficient and effective.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar discipline is preferred.
  • Professional credentials such as PMP, PRINCE2, PgMP, PMI-ACP, or an equivalent certification are strongly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, program management, PMO operations, or a comparable function.
  • Preferably 2 or more years leading PMO activities or overseeing project portfolios.
  • Solid knowledge of project governance, portfolio oversight, and delivery approaches.
  • Hands-on experience managing cross-functional projects, budgets, schedules, and resources.
  • Strong analytical thinking, organization, and problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with project tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or similar systems.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setup.
