Job description
Role overview
The Painter Technician will prepare and apply paint to customer parts and components to a high-quality finish, following internal procedures and customer requirements. The role also includes keeping work records accurate, maintaining a tidy workshop, and working safely at all times.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare components for coating work by masking, abrading, cleaning, stripping old paint, and refinishing them in line with approved procedures.
- Mix and prepare paint materials as instructed, including checking viscosity against the required paint specifications and customer needs.
- Apply paint using the appropriate tools and application techniques to meet customer expectations.
- Record work details in the required forms and documents, and ensure all paperwork is completed and signed correctly after each job.
- Check that all tasks have been completed properly and sign off the relevant documents.
- Keep the paint workshop, preparation area, testing area, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental precautions while carrying out duties.
- Work to EPI quality standards and ensure finished products meet customer requirements.
- Report and address safety concerns proactively.
- Use paint materials and consumables efficiently with minimal waste.
Qualifications and experience
- High school diploma plus trade certification as a painter, or a related vocational certification.
- At least 2 years of experience working as a Painter Technician.
- Hands-on experience with different painting equipment and application methods; spray application experience is required.
- Prior experience in a NADCAP-certified environment will be considered an advantage.

This position is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and is a full-time, onsite role.
