Role overview

This position is with Delta Hotels by Marriott Dubai Investment Park in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It sits within the Engineering & Facilities function and is a full-time, non-management role based on site.

What you will do

• Apply paint, stains, and other surface finishes to walls, ceilings, furniture, and similar property surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Prepare fresh surfaces for coating by applying primers or sealers.
• Strip away old finish layers through sanding, wire brushing, burning, or water and abrasive blasting methods.
• Protect nearby areas with suitable coverings during painting work and place warning signs where needed.
• Clean, organize, and store paint materials, tools, and equipment in the correct locations after use.
• Work with vendors when adjustments are needed to paint, stain, or varnish colors.

Working standards and physical demands

• Adhere to all company policies as well as safety and security procedures.
• Escalate maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a tidy, professional uniform and personal presentation.
• Handle confidential information responsibly and protect company property.
• Greet guests courteously, respond to service requests, assist guests with disabilities, and show appreciation in line with company standards.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and others.
• Work collaboratively to support team objectives and maintain quality standards.
• Be able to reach overhead and below the knees, bend, twist, pull, and stoop as needed.
• Climb and work from ladders.
• Handle objects of different sizes and weights, including items up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Remain standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
• Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Preferred background

A technical, trade, or vocational school qualification is preferred, along with at least one year of relevant experience. No supervisory background or license/certification is required.
