Role Purpose

This position is responsible for guiding warehousing and logistics teams to deliver operations that are compliant, efficient, accurate, and completed on time. The scope includes transportation, storage, inventory control, and broader logistics activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set the operational direction so work is delivered with maximum efficiency and at the most competitive cost possible.
  • Make sure day-to-day operations are carried out with high productivity and a customer-focused approach.
  • Build a culture of respect and collaboration by maintaining strong working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Implement standard procedures for daily, weekly, and periodic business activities to achieve strong operational outcomes.
  • Drive ongoing improvement in the organization’s cost to serve.
  • Monitor delivery vehicle performance so customer service meets agreed KPIs and SLAs.
  • Oversee all stages from receiving goods through replenishment and final delivery to Salehiya customers.
  • Support line managers and key personnel in warehousing, transport, and distribution activities.
  • Assist with process improvement efforts so company goals are achieved correctly and on schedule.
  • Maintain clear communication and help prepare review discussions such as monthly performance reviews.
  • Spot opportunities to improve service levels, productivity, and route efficiency, and turn them into practical action plans.
  • Work with the department manager to ensure major initiatives and projects are launched successfully and on time.
  • Help create and maintain a positive, cooperative working environment.
  • Coach operational teams and frontline staff on process improvement and proper service delivery.
  • Coordinate annual leave and other leave arrangements with the operational manager.
  • Identify training needs and provide SOP training to new employees.
  • Ensure storage space, workforce, and equipment are used effectively.
  • Plan, use, and maintain machinery, equipment, consumables, and other operational resources properly.
  • Ensure staff comply with company safety rules, GDP practices, and national road safety laws to protect the company’s image and assets.
  • Correct unsafe conditions promptly through the relevant departments.
  • Follow SOPs, QMS requirements, and work instructions at all times, while encouraging the same discipline in the team.
  • Report incidents of any kind to the immediate supervisor quickly, with full and accurate documentation.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and maintenance teams to ensure temperature sensors and equipment are calibrated on time.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or diploma, or be a Pharmacist. The role requires 3 to 5 years of experience in supply chain or related functions, including at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
