Job description

About the Role

Amazon is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee budgetary, people development, and operational objectives for a specific functional area within a Fulfillment Center (Inbound, Outbound, or Change Ops). The Operations Manager will drive the creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, and process improvements to exceed business objectives. They will set clear expectations for Area Managers, monitor their performance, and hold them accountable. This role also involves sourcing and nurturing improvement ideas, implementing best practices across departments and shifts, and collaborating with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT) to secure resources for projects. The manager must be adept at addressing operational and personnel issues within their functional area and escalating potential cross-functional challenges with proposed solutions to senior management.

This position demands a candidate with a proven track record in driving process improvements and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while motivating a team.

About The Team

The team operates on a 5-day work week, but due to the 7-day operational nature of the Fulfillment Center, scheduled days off will vary based on shift patterns and business demands.
