Job description
Company Overview
Alato World works across logistics, systems, and people development to help organizations create operations that are durable, scalable, and aligned with their long-term goals. The company goes beyond quick fixes by building structured processes, clearer ways of working, and systems that support sustainable growth. Its approach spans multiple functions and disciplines, adapting as client needs change, and it values teamwork, thoughtful problem-solving, and ongoing improvement.
Role Summary
As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for keeping everyday operations running efficiently across internal teams and client-facing work. You will coordinate projects, review how operations are performing, and look for ways to simplify processes and strengthen collaboration between functions. The role also includes supporting capacity and resource planning, maintaining process documentation and standard operating procedures, introducing operational tools and methods, and working closely with stakeholders to support change initiatives that connect people, processes, and systems.
Work Arrangement
This is a contract position based in New York, NY. The role follows a hybrid setup, combining on-site work with flexibility to work from home.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should bring strong experience in operations management, including designing processes, improving workflows, and coordinating work across teams. Background in project management is important, especially in planning, prioritizing tasks, setting schedules, and monitoring risks. You should be comfortable working with operational data, defining key performance indicators, and turning findings into practical improvements. Strong communication and facilitation skills are needed to build alignment across stakeholders. Familiarity with digital platforms for project tracking, documentation, and collaboration is expected. The role also calls for someone who can work independently, juggle several priorities at once, and stay effective in a dynamic environment. Experience in consulting, logistics, or systems-oriented roles is an advantage. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience, is required.
