Job description

About the Company

Fairways and FunDays is a leading name in golf tourism and has been recognised with major industry honours, including World Golf Awards titles for the World’s Best Golf Tour Operator in 2024 and 2025. The business has also been named Europe’s Best Golf Tour Operator and Ireland’s Best Inbound Golf Tour Operator for multiple years, and holds a strong 5-star TripAdvisor reputation. From its base in County Kildare, the company designs bespoke, high-quality golf holidays in Ireland and works closely with top golf courses, hotels, and visitor attractions to deliver smooth and memorable journeys from start to finish.

As the business continues to expand, it is seeking an organised, self-starting, and highly detail-focused Operations Executive to join the team. A strong interest in Ireland and knowledge of its golf offering are essential, as Ireland is the only destination the company serves.

This is a practical, fast-moving position at the centre of day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will coordinate golf travel reservations, maintain supplier relationships, assist with financial administration, and help ensure every customer receives a premium service experience.

The role suits someone who performs well in a busy environment, can balance several priorities at once, and takes pride in working accurately and methodically. Precision matters greatly in this role, as even small errors can affect a customer’s travel experience.

  • Process supplier payments.
  • Respond to customer questions in a professional and timely manner.
  • Look for ways to improve internal processes and the overall customer experience.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support to the wider team.

Requirements

  • Strong organisational ability and solid administrative capability.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to handle several tasks, projects, and deadlines at the same time.
  • Confident communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with clients and partners.
  • Background in operations or operations management, particularly in logistics and coordination.
  • A structured, detail-oriented approach with the ability to stay on top of multiple priorities.
  • Experience in travel, tourism, or hospitality is a clear advantage.
  • Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Willingness to be flexible with working hours when needed.
  • Comfortable working independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
  • Financial awareness or experience in bookkeeping, accounts administration, invoicing, or financial reporting is highly beneficial.
  • Interest in golf and familiarity with the golfing community would be an added advantage.
  • Experience in travel, tourism, hospitality, events, or sports-related environments is desirable.
  • Previous use of CRM or booking management systems is advantageous.

Success Measures

  • Bookings and travel experiences are delivered smoothly and efficiently.
  • Financial and operational administration remains accurate and well managed.
  • Relationships with customers and partners are strong and dependable.
  • Organisation and attention to detail remain consistently high.
  • The role makes a positive contribution to the company’s ongoing growth.

Why Join

  • Be part of an award-winning and highly regarded company.
  • Join a growing business in the golf travel sector.
  • Work closely with respected industry partners and leading golf destinations.
  • Opportunity to build your career as the company expands.
