Role Overview
This full-time, on-site Nurse Trainee position is based in Doha, Qatar. The selected candidate will assist registered nurses and other medical professionals in day-to-day patient care activities. Support duties include checking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, helping with simple procedures, and making sure patients remain comfortable and safe.
Key Duties
Work will also involve keeping patient areas tidy and organized, replenishing supplies, following infection prevention and safety procedures, and recording patient details accurately under supervision. The trainee will communicate patient concerns to the care team, assist with patient education when instructed, and take part in training, mentorship, and continuous learning opportunities designed to strengthen clinical knowledge and practical skills.
Qualifications and Requirements
The role calls for a basic understanding of nursing fundamentals, including vital signs measurement and infection control. Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills are important for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. The candidate should be able to follow instructions, respond well to feedback, and function under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. Good organization and time management are needed in a busy clinical environment, along with empathy, professionalism, and respect for confidentiality.
A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required, and candidates who are enrolled in or have completed a nursing assistant, practical nursing, or nursing degree program are preferred. The role also requires readiness to work shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, to support 24/7 operations. Basic computer skills for electronic health records and clinical documentation are needed, and previous healthcare exposure or internship experience is considered an advantage.
Additional Requirements
Applicants must be BSN degree holders and have Dataflow evaluation as well as DHP evaluation from MOPH-Qatar.
