NDE Inspector

Role Overview

This position is for an NDE (Non-destructive Examination) Inspector based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role focuses on inspection, testing review, and quality control within industrial and petrochemical environments, especially oil and gas operations.

Required Background

• A technical diploma in an engineering field or an equivalent technical qualification is required.
• Applicants should have at least 10 years of total experience in welding inspection, NDT review, and quality control.
• Out of that experience, a minimum of 5 years must have been gained in oil and gas or petrochemical plants.
• Professional certification at ASNT Level II is required for UT, MT, RT, and PT methods.

Technical Expectations

• You must understand the scope and limitations of each NDT method covered by your certification.
• The role includes setting up and calibrating inspection equipment.
• You will need to assess test results against applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Results from nondestructive testing must be properly organized and reported.

Knowledge and Communication

• Strong spoken and written English is essential, including the ability to prepare technical reports.
• Computer literacy is required.
• Working knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards is expected, including ASME V, API-1104, ASME/ANSI B31.3, API RP 2X, and AWS D1.1.
